"Less is More” Staging and Storage Program

In 1947, one of the most influential architects of the 20th century, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, is credited with the famous quote; “Less is more”.

Mies was a proponent of minimalizing visual “clutter” in design. He felt that reducing detail and decoration fostered a more harmonious emotional reaction to the space.

Realtors and stagers concur. Most understand that simplifying the home furnishings allows the buyer to more easily imagine themselves living in the home and the vacated areas foster a sense of greater space and luxury. When it comes to home furnishings and selling a home, less is certainly more.

To assist realtors, stagers, and homeowners, Arpin of Rhode Island has created the “Less is more” Staging and Storage Program. With the Less is More program, Arpin RI is offering to send a crew to your home and: 

Remove and store one thousand pounds of excess furniture and boxes in our storage facility for 3 months (90days) at no cost to you. (1 plywood storage vault)

As an alternative, we offer 2 vaults (2,000 lbs.) for 45 days or 3 vaults (3,000 lbs.) for 30 days.

When the home closes, we will move the remainder of the furnishings and the stored items to your new residence. You just pay the standard moving rates for our crews to pick up and deliver the items. 

With the LIM Program, customers will also be enrolled in Arpin’s White Glove Storage Service which offers a premium electronic inventory that lists each item along with an image of each item as well. They also get our Easy Access Program which gives you access to your things if you need to find and remove specific items. 

With the Less is More Program, you can clear out excess items from your home that you’d need to move anyway, store those items for free, and get more cash for the sale of your home.

I was so impressed with the professional organizational skills of the three men who helped me move I could not have been happier. Having spent 28 years in the Army I have made many, many moves. The best moving experiences I have had is with Arpin. I just stood out of the way and they did it all. Three times I moved in NYC and it was incredible how the driver was able to maneuver the big rig 18-wheeler in some of the tightest spaces I have ever witnessed. As in all the moves with Arpin, the crew was totally professional and packed, then unpacked, my belongings with great care. Their techniques used to move the large items and a grand piano, demonstrates a very a high level of skill I have never witnessed with other DoD contracted movers.
