Proud Sponsor of All Five 2026 Rhode Island Walk to End Alzheimer's® Events
We Are A Proud Sponsor
Arpin RI Moving and Storage is honored to serve as a corporate sponsor of all five 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s® events taking place across Rhode Island this September and October. These community walks bring together people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia, family members, caregivers, friends, healthcare professionals, and local supporters to raise awareness, honor loved ones, and help move the fight against dementia forward.
A Statewide Community United Against Alzheimer’s
Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. People of all ages and abilities are invited to walk, volunteer, donate, or support a team.
The event is more than a fundraising walk. It is a day of remembrance, solidarity and hope—a chance for Rhode Islanders to stand with neighbors affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementia and to show caregivers that they do not face this journey alone.
Why We Walk
Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive brain disease that affects memory, thinking, and behavior and eventually interferes with daily life. It is the most common cause of dementia, but its impact extends far beyond the person who receives the diagnosis. Families, friends, and caregivers may face years of emotional, physical, and financial challenges.
Funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer’s® help the Alzheimer’s Association provide free education, care consultations, support groups, local resources, and its 24/7 Helpline. Walk fundraising also helps advance research focused on earlier diagnosis, improved treatment, risk reduction, and, ultimately, a future without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
Arpin RI’s Commitment to Rhode Island Families
For more than 126 years, Arpin RI has helped Rhode Island families through important life transitions. We are proud to support a cause that touches so many of the seniors, families, caregivers, and communities we serve. Sponsoring all five Rhode Island walks reflects our commitment to standing with those affected by Alzheimer’s and helping build a future of greater support, understanding, and hope.
The Promise Garden: Every Flower Tells a Story
One of the most meaningful Walk Day traditions is the Promise Garden. Participants carry colored flowers that represent their personal connection to Alzheimer’s and other dementia: blue for a person living with the disease, yellow for a caregiver, purple in memory of someone lost, orange for a supporter of the cause, and white as a symbol of hope for the first survivor.
Together, the flowers create a powerful visual reminder that every participant has a reason to walk—and that every step and every donation can help move us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.

Organizing Services for Families of People Living with Dementia
Alzheimer’s disease can place a long and difficult emotional burden on individuals and their families. When the time comes to sort through a loved one’s belongings, the process can feel overwhelming.
Arpin RI partners with Deanne Capotosto of D Customized Organizing, one of the region’s leading professional organizers, to help families approach these decisions with patience, sensitivity and care. Working at each family’s pace, Deanne helps determine which belongings should be kept, sold, donated or passed along to relatives and friends.
Families do not have to manage this process alone. Deanne’s experience and compassionate guidance can make each step more organized, manageable, and less stressful.
To schedule an organizing consultation, call Deanne at 203-676-7097 or email deannecap@icloud.com.
Together, Rhode Island Can Make a Difference
Whether you walk, donate, volunteer, or help spread the word, your participation matters. Arpin RI invites our customers, employees, business partners, and neighbors to join us in supporting the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s® and the many Rhode Island families affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementia.
