Registered

The term registered on an interstate move means that the shipment has been accepted by the van lines or carrier and is given a specific number so it can be tracked during its life span. Once a shipment is registered with a national van line, it become their responsibility to transport it under their interstate authority. That means the national carrier will provide hazard insurance for the transportation of the shipment, manage all of the record keeping for the driver and truck’s FMCSA regulations, and adjudicate damage or property claims if there are any. All of Arpin of RI’s interstate shipments are registered with Wheaton/Arpin Van Lines and all shipments are transported under their authority.
