The required delivery date or RDD is the last day of the agreed delivery date spread that the shipment can be delivered on before it is considered late. The delivery spread is the time period or delivery window in which Arpin of RI is obligated to effect delivery of a shipment to its final destination. The length of the delivery spread and when the spread starts are determined by Arpin Van Lines’ corporate transit guide. That transit guide uses three factors: the day of the week the shipment loads, the distance between origin and destination, and the weight of the shipment. The delivery spread can range from less than one day up to several weeks or more for a cross country move.
