The bill of lading is the legal document that allows Arpin RI to transport your household goods over state lines. A bill of lading or BOL is the contract between the mover and the customer. The BOL has several parts. It identifies the carrier, their address, and their Federal ID (operating authority). It lists all of the terms of the move, the weight, distance, etc. It also lists the estimated and final charges and potential charges that may occur during the move. It also lists the valuation type and amount requested. Finally, it has all of the terms and conditions that govern Arpin of RI’s responsibilities before, during, and after the move as well as the customers rights and responsibilities.
