A shuttle or auxiliary service is the incremental transfer of the shipment from a larger road truck onto a smaller more maneuverable truck because the customer’s residence is not accessible to the mover’s normal over-the-road equipment. The reasons to shuttle are typically due to road size, weight limits, height limits, weather, or local laws. The charge for this truck-to-truck transfer is based on the overall weight of the shipment, or in the case of a partial shuttle, based on just the weight of the items being shuttled. Keep in mind that Arpin of RI will never charge for shuttles at destination.
