Shipper

A shipper is the owner of the shipment or the entity that is paying for the move. The consignor is the person who gives custody of the shipment (consigns) to the moving company at origin and the consignee is the person who receives and signs for the shipment at the destination. In most Arpin of RI moves, the customer wears all three hats. However, it is not uncommon for the customer or shipper to assign a friend or relative to act as the consignor or consignee if they are unavailable.
