A dock is an elevated section of a warehouse building that is level with the floor of the truck to facilitate and loading and unloading. There are two types of docks;
- A peninsula dock similar to a harbor dock for side loading and unloading
- A loading dock which is an overhead door in the side of the warehouse for tailgate loading and unloading.
