Disassembled By Owner or DBO

Disassembled by owner or DBO, literally refers to a shipment item that has been taken apart by the customer. Many shipment items require partial or complete disassembly to properly transport. Typical examples include beds, cribs, tables, exercise equipment, and toys. There are two groups who may be the disassemblers; the customer (or their hired 3rd party personnel) or the crew. If the Arpin of RI crew takes an item apart to ship, they are obligated to reassemble that item if requested at destination. However, if the customer disassembles an item, Arpin of RI is not obligated to reassemble, but may reassemble it for a fee if requested by the customer.
