The Interstate Commerce Commission, now defunct, was formerly the Federal agency that amongst other things, regulated all interstate transportation companies. These regulated industries included all truck lines, van lines, railroads, bus lines, and air lines. That included all interstate moving companies like Arpin Van Lines. The ICC was disbanded in 1995 and its duties were transferred to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration within Department of Transportation or DOT.
