An individual shipper is the person who is the consignor or consignee of a shipment. The consignor is the person who gives custody of the shipment (consigns) to the moving company at origin. The consignee is the person who receives and signs for the shipment at the destination. The consignee and the consignor may be one and the same person or someone acting as the agent for the owner who has authorization to consign or receive the shipment from Arpin RI. The individual is identified on the bill of lading.
