Trailer

A specialized moving trailer is used for transporting HHG, cars, or freight. Arpin of RI’s moving trailers differ from their freight counterparts in that the floor has multiple levels. All trailers are the same height where the tractor connects in the front, but some drop lower behind that to allow for more loading volume inside. Standard moving trailers all have a single drop of about a foot just behind where the tractor wheels are located. There are some trailers that are double or triple drops. Most long-distance trailers are the legal length limit of 53 feet. However, it is not uncommon to encounter trailers of any length between 24 and 53 feet.
