Moving Truck or Moving Van

There are two types of vehicles used move customers; tractor trailers and straight trucks. Typically, a straight truck is used for short-haul shipments and tractor trailers are used for both short-haul and long-distance shipments. A straight truck is similar in size to a school bus with a moving van body fitted onto a truck chassis. The capacity of a straight truck is between 9,000 and 12,000 lbs. A tractor trailer moving truck is about 70 feet long.  The capacity of a tractor trailer moving truck is between 21,000 and 26,000 lbs. The interior of both varieties have finished walls, beautiful oak hardwood floors, and doors on three sides.

One of the most significant difference between a moving van and a freight truck is the suspension. All moving vans are air-ride meaning they ride like a passenger car. Arpin of RI has dozens of trucks and trailers available to haul your shipment anywhere in the US, or just hauled across town.
