Hauler or Hauling Agent

The hauling agent is the van operator or agent who actually owns the vehicle assigned to transport the shipment from origin to destination. There are four “agents” on every interstate move; the booking agent who initiates the shipment, the origin agent who packs and loads the shipment, the hauling agent who transports the shipment, and the destination agent who delivers the shipment. The same company or entity can be one, two, three or all four agents. Typically, Arpin of RI is the booking agent, origin agent, destination agent, and the hauler meaning you’re only dealing with one entity who is in charge of everything.
