Arpin RI offers a binding not-to-exceed estimate (NTE) that is a hybrid of the binding and non-binding estimates. With NTE estimate, if the actual weight or accessorial services are more than the estimated weight or services, the customer will only be charged for the estimated amounts. However, if the actual weight or accessorial services are less than the estimated weight or services, the customer will be charged the lesser amount. Arpin RI offers this as a win-win option for the customer. If the salesperson is off and the shipment’s weight and costs are higher than estimated; the price will not go up. However, if the salesperson is off and the weight and costs are lower than estimated; the price will go down reflecting the lesser amounts.
